Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative PlayCanvas Game Developer to join our team. As a PlayCanvas Game Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on developing high-quality, engaging games for web and mobile platforms using the PlayCanvas engine. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to create immersive gameplay experiences that delight our players. Responsibilities
- Work with the design and art teams to conceptualize, prototype, and develop new game ideas
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using the PlayCanvas engine
- Implement game mechanics, user interfaces, and game controls that are intuitive and engaging for players
- Optimize game performance to ensure smooth gameplay and compatibility across different platforms
- Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality game development
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in game development and incorporate them into our games
- Collaborate with other developers, artists, and designers to create immersive and engaging gameplay experiences
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in game development using PlayCanvas engine or other similar game engines
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Experience with 2D and 3D game development
- Knowledge of game development principles and best practices, including game design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
